Moving Tips

Packing:
Proper packing not only insures adequate protection for your household items, but also expedites the moving process. Use boxes that are strong, fairly uniform in size and weight appropriate. Pack largest and heaviest items in bottom of box first. The heavier the item, the smaller the box it should occupy. All boxes must be sealed on both the top and bottom with packing tape. Do not use masking tape. Buffer and separate fragile items with bubble wrap. Fill in empty spaces with lightly wadded packing paper to minimize movement during transit. Do not use newspaper for packing, the ink will rub off on your items.

Items of Extraordinary Value:
Cherished items such as family heirlooms, jewelry, stock certificates, wills, real-estate papers, back up disc of computer files or collectibles may be irreplaceable. Pack the items yourself and carry them with you.
